slam nashville

A mission-packed week grounded in Scripture, where youth are challenged to serve like Jesus in the heart of one of America’s fastest-growing cities—Nashville, Tennessee.

Done with camps that spark temporary spiritual highs but leave your youth group unchanged?
Your students need something more.

Students Living a Mission (SLAM) Nashville is a mission experience that drives long-term change, inspires them to serve their own communities, and unites them around Jesus’ mission.

Though the service is local, the perspective is global. We want students to leave with a broadened worldview, recognizing the beauty and diversity of the world beyond their own experiences.

Global Consciousness

Volunteer opportunities for youth

The Bible isn’t an afterthought; it’s central to the week, with genuine worship and Bible study taking up a significant part of the schedule.

Commitment to Scripture

Youth ministry mission trips

This isn’t just a one-week experience. With experienced leadership and long-term community engagement, we’re focused on creating lasting change—and we hope your group will do the same in their own communities.

Lasting Impact

It’s not just about individual youth groups; it’s about coming together with others, all focused on learning God’s Word and putting it into action. Along the way, students build meaningful relationships with peers from across the country.

Unplug from distractions and refocus on biblical truth

We get it—planning a week away with your youth group can be exhausting. But SLAM is more than just another camp. SLAM students unplug from distractions and refocus on biblical truth, all while growing their awareness of local needs and discovering their ability to make a real impact. Instead of temporary highs, your students will serve in the heart of Nashville—a fast-growing, diverse city with real needs. Fueled by God’s Word, worship, and prayer, they’ll return home not just entertained, but united, energized, and ready to make a real difference in their own communities. No passport required.

God really used our week at SLAM to push our kids toward having more of a heart for missions. Our students enjoy doing mission projects but are not often using their own initiative to start them. Through our mission projects, God really spoke to multiple of my students and showed them how capable they are in serving others. My students still cannot stop talking about worship.

This week confirmed that I want to move forward with leading a Bible study this upcoming school year which I had been debating. This week also reminded me that I need to continue to strive to be like Jesus and not compare my life to those on social media.

SLAM leaders are some of the most passionate people I've ever met.  They are all in on Jesus.  They are all in on living a life of servanthood.  This isn't some phase they are going through that will wear off in a year, it is a lifelong commitment they have made to serve in the name of Christ.  Their example is a powerful one and had a huge impact on my students and challenged them to consider their identities as followers of Jesus.
